I’ve disassembled Glock mags a bazillion times by simply inserting the armorer’s tool into the hole in the basepad, all the way to the plastic handle of the tool, and then prying the base pad off of the magazine body. Takes a little force, but always works, and the mag reassembles fine. WebApr 1, 2012 · Discussion Starter · #1 · Apr 1, 2012. I'm sure there are several different ways to take apart the magazine. I took the "stick your Glock tool in the hole and depress the sides of the magazine and gently tug it off" approach. Small freaking problem though. The tool cracked the magazine insert in half!
