WebbI read somewhere that gap should be at .028 psi. My car was pinning pretty hard, to a point of check engine flashing. I changed the gap to .028 and it got significantly better. Anyway, my tuner says i am getting plug blow out at such a large gap, which is why it needs to be gapped smaller. Please help me figure this out. WebbThis JE piston is specially designed for competition turbo engines and has the top ring located approximately 1/4 inch down from the piston crown. Shown is a stock piston from a Buick 3.8-liter naturally aspirated engine. Note the thin piston crown thickness (1). This piston would not stand-up well to high boost.
